The term 'plastic' or 'cosmetic surgery' actually covers a variety of surgical and chemical procedures which alter the body's outward appearance. The best surgical procedures are used to shape certain body parts such as the breast or nose, soften skin tone to reduce or eliminate wrinkles, and to correct problems resulting from accident or disease.

Cosmetic surgery procedures are generally safe and relatively painless when performed by an experienced doctor/surgeon, although each procedure is different. With all surgical procedures, there are certain degrees of risk and uncertainty.

When a patient visits our office for a consultation for cosmetic surgery, our doctors will perform an interview and evaluation. We ask each patient to bring a photo of themselves 15-20 years previous to the present date. At that time, the photo and your present facial features are analyzed. By beginning the evaluation process in this way, our specialists are able to more directly focus on how the aging process has affected the specific features of your face and body.

Most procedures are performed using IV sedation and/or local anesthesia. Certain procedures will require general anesthesia. All surgical procedures are performed at a state certified facility. The decision concerning the type of anesthesia to be used will be discussed with you during your initial consultation.
