Testimonials
Dr. Giampapa,
I know that the Contour Thread Lift is a relatively new procedure. The intended results as you stated were met. My cheeks and eyebrows are cleaner and more youthful looking without major surgery. Your staff was most helpful in the whole process from consultation to discharge. I would recommend this to anyone with minimal recovery time or that does not want to have surgery or general anesthesia.

Dr. Vincent C. Giampapa,
Contour Lift, what a procedure. I had my procedure on a Friday before my 1 week vacation. When I returned, everyone stated how great I looked and how fresh I appeared.
My face and eyes are alive again.

Dr. Giampapa,
I did my research and found out that you were one of the 1 st physicians to use the contour threads in case studies. In addition your center is considered one of the "Centers of Excellence" in the United States. The procedure that was done at your office, as well as the intended results, were just what I expected. You should be proud of your practice and staff.

Dr. Giampapa,
Thanks for providing me with an alternate procedure, the "Contour Lift". As you know, my medical condition would not allow the use of general anesthetics for elective procedures. After my consultation with you and my personal physician talking with you, I am proud to say that I had a "Contour Lift" with Dr. Giampapa. The results to this point are more than I had hoped for since you told me that this was not a face lift. The improvement is natural and I am still me.

About the "Contour Thread Lift"
The Contour Thread Lift is a revolutionary procedure that will make a marked improvement in facial aging for both men and women. It is a minimally invasive procedure and has been utilized for over a decade in different varieties and styles. Originally invented in Russia and termed the Russian Thread Procedure, the new contour lift technique has been markedly improved utilizing revolutionary new "sutures" that act as micro-ligaments to hold the lax skin of the mid-face and jowls in place and create a much more youthful look to the face and jowl area without any lifting or undermining of the skin.
These micro-threads, which are placed in the skin with needle, work by catching the tissues with a series of tiny cogs or micro-barbs. The small micro-barbs are hooked to catch the underlying surface of the skin and allow the skin to be tightened and elevated, without the need of lifting the skin as it occurs in a standard face lift. These micro-ligaments are then fastened to the skin underneath the hair bearing temporal scalp area. Over a period of time, the skin shrinks around these sutures and result in a tighter and more youthful look to the skin in general.
Although the procedure is commonly called non-surgical, it is in fact, surgery although minimal in nature. The procedure is usually performed in the office setting with oral pain medication only. The micro-threads are placed through a tiny incision in the hair bearing area above the ear with the passage of a very thin needle through the undersurface of the skin. There usually requires anywhere from 3 to 6 sutures to be placed on each side of the face to adjust the lax skin appropriately. There is no cutting of the skin or removal of the skin whatsoever with this procedure and the small incision in hair bearing area is then closed with small number of dissolvable sutures. The material utilized for the micro-sutures is the same material used in surgery and general surgery throughout the body and has an excellent safety profile. The microscopic barbs that make up the sutures cannot be felt at all when the skin is touched.
Upon completion of the procedure, a small amount of tape is placed on the face for 48-hours. The patients are also encouraged not to sleep on the side of their face for approximately one week. Although there is an immediate affect from the placement of these small sutures, the optimal result will be visible in approximately 4-6 months, as the skin continues to shrink around the place of sutures. Most patients will be driven to the office and will require a ride home from the clinic, because they have been prescribed sedative medications to make the procedure a pleasant experience.
